CADSOFT EAGLE - Copying parts between libraries

Hi there,

I'm looking for someone knowing about how to copy parts (components) from one library to another in version 7 and later.

The software is nice but gets sometimes a little bit tricky when it come to do "simple" things like copy/paste that won't work like one is used to :(

Any help is welcome ;)

Hi,
In 7.2 (at least) what you do is open the library to which you want to copy parts. Then, in the control panel, find the part you want to copy into your open library, right click the part and select copy to library. In 7.4 it's also possible to drag/drop parts, symbols and footprints from the Control panel into the open library.

Make sure you read the release notes for the version you're using and a couple of version back (as well as the help) as they are making changes (for the better) to the library management - among other things.

Thanks a lot Henrik; your advise helped me out :)

I have now version 7.4.0 and it works well. It's a very nice software but can get a little tricky if one doesn't use it for a while (...).
