Has Anyone used the RN41 Bluetooth Module from Roving Networks?,

been using for > 1 year, never skips a beat, uses SPP on PC.....serial port profile....... then just sends/receives serial data once 'paired'

Hi Don,
I have the unit working on the eval board, just going to hook it up to the UART of the PIC, just looks complicated hooking it up to a Micro considering what I had to do on the PC to get it all paired....do you have some set up code you could share?

Hi Gavin,
My 41 modules are a couple years old, so I don't know if the software has changed much....... but the UART part is pretty easy, just send/receive or serout/serin with standard UART polarity to and from your terminal program on PC. Have you used the " $$$ " command to view/change the parameters on the BT device over BT with hyperterm or other prog? You can set mode, Baud, device name, password etc.
