Custom LCD

Hi,

I need lcd 4 rows, 8 seven segments digit in each row, and some charters around lcd. And about 1000pcs per year.
It should be display without controller(like one in calculator)
I didn't find off the shelf display, so i try to contact some manufacturers but they didn't response.
Did anyone try to get custom lcd from some manufacturer?
Any manufacturers to recommend? What is minimum quantity? etc...

Have you posted on Alibaba and similar sites?

You can send a general request that all manufacturers can see.
