howdy all fellow bit pickers !!.
my strugle trying to decode dmx is still ongoing !! i have been able to translate an incoming dmx data stream and decode it to a port. portb to be presice. i have checked it fully and the decoding is 100% ( all done in pbp i may add.. :) all thats left to do is the channel filtering ie an interupt of some kind so maybe someone with some asm knowledge can help me out there. at the moment my main query is how do i read an 8 bit port and end up with a dec number/value that can be dont as quick as possibleand with little processor overhead... please dont say AAAAAAASSSSSSSSMMMMMMM arghhhh. my brain cells aint so good so trying to learn asm is just soooooo not me right now. i used to have a zx81 lol ( IN 1981 ) !!!!!!!!!!!
