OK, I have an analog signal that I want to do an A/D conversion on with the PIC chip. My question is what the best way is to get rid of the DC offset coming from the signal. AC couple? Bias the PIC to -11V?

any input is appreciated.

OK, well I put a 1200pF capacitor in series with the analog signal and now it seems to be biased at 1V. So now I just have to invert it and amplify the signal so that the minimum is 0V and the max is 5V.

Use an Op-Amp to Invert/Amplify.

Alternatively, Opto-Isolators are useful employed as Level Shifters.
