View Full Version : Rfid CHIP selection question

I was finding rfid reader modules which can give tag data to my PIC. I found a few but they are not suitable for battery powered applications as their standby current is in mA. Can someone help me if they know of any chip suitable for battery powered application. Thanks

The link is not RFiD. Is about IR sensor.

I think RFiD reader are not availabloe in uA or nA. They need a lot of current to create an electric field that will power the card like a transformer.

Not suitable for battery operated devices.

I suggest to look for other way work it out. Maybe a chip card that will enable the PICİ controller through the switch that most card acceptors have.
