I'm designing another shield for a specific application. It will support up to 5 serial ports (1 USART, 4 software UARTs) in addition to the main USART on the system board plus an optional USB-Serial adapter. I have two Linear RS232 line drivers, an FTDI chip and one 555 timer chip, all in SSOP but the only RS485 driver I can find that handles 3.3-5V is SOIC. I'd prefer SSOP.

Does anybody know of one?

I could not find a SSOP that is 3.3 & 5.0V. They come in 3.3 OR 5.0.

I've searched for 3-4 hours online with no luck. I did find where ISL has a SSOP chip that does both RS232 and RS485 which would be ideal for the application but it's also either 3.3V or 5V.. I might even create two versions of the shield if it wasn't so expensive - about $8 each with 1000 MOQ.
