Does anybody have any experience with the newer XLP PICs? I read that in deep sleep the RAM contents are lost. I want very low power but I must save RAM variables during sleep. Writing them to EEROM is self defeating due to high power draw during flash write. I currently use the PIC18LF4620 and I think the PIC18F26J11 will be an improvement but I cannot use Deep Sleep because of RAM scrambling. Will regular Sleep on the 26J11 be an improvement.

I have been doing battle with the datasheets and the app notes but they are not as clear as they might be on this feature.

Does anyone know the practical minimum currents of the 4620 vs the 26J11?

Cheers

Look under Electrical Characteristics in the datasheet, and it will give you currents for every status the chip can be in.
