I have the 840Z and 814SN adapters but needed to program some PIC12F509 in the 209mil SOIC8 package.
I found this...http://www.sivava.com/B21_Adapter.htmlwhich I can use in the 840Z for programming and then insert into a breadboard for testing. I plan to add a 0.1µF decoupling capacitor to the adapter. If it doesn't interfere with programming, it will simplify testing in the breadboard. There's also a 150mil version.
