Hi guys.

It's been a while since I've done any pic work, I've gone and updated some old code and clicked the compiler, vista politely informs me that NTVDM.EXE has stopped working.

I manually checked by running pbp.exe as both admin and a regular user to get the same error.

I've gone and updated (was originaly 2.50a) to 2.50c and it's still an issue.

pbpl works, and pbpw works, but pbp doesn't

Use pbpw or pbpl.
Those are the ones for windows.

Ummm that's all good but microcode studio calls pbp :(

NTVDM Error.

Had those before. But whether it's the same problem ... I have no idea.

In my case, I have two monitors with two separate video cards.
My primarary video card went down and I switched to the secondary monitor as my main.
Couldn't get anything to compile after that and was "freaking out".

After installing a new video card (gotta have two monitors), everything worked again.
Wish I'd have known that would fix it ... 2 months earlier. :(

I could still compile from the command line, but not from MCS.

It's a thought,

I did not know that. There is always MPLAB. I know it lets you a choose.

Ok, I don't understand how it resolved it... but windows update and reboot...
