Hi,

This is first attempt in using a stepper motor. I got one from my old printer. It has four wires. After doing some searching and reading i expect this is a bipolar motor.

Can somebody please teach (show) me how can I connect this motor to Pic.
I have done a H bridge circuit but not sure how to connect to Pic. If posible a schematic and sample code in PBP. Please please please......

See this thread http://www.picbasic.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=10158

The project is based on a unipolar stepper motor, since you have a bipolar and you have also the two hbridges necessary than remove the ULN2803 and connect the 4 (2+2) hbridge input to the 4 pic outputs.

Read all the thread!

Thanks Mr.Aratti.

I have read the artical. It seem like almost all the stepper circuit have five or six conection. Four to motor, one positive and one negative. Mind is only four wire. If I connect it to a L293D or L298 H bridge circuit then how could I supply positive and negative voltage. This is the thing that make me a bit confuse.
Need more explanation from forum members.

Hope you can spend abit of your time for a little bit stupid question.

Thanks.

Hi Steve !
I figure Stupid is the process of remaining ignorant.
So I totally agree with you.
