I checked the FAQ could not find an answer to this one. Does a Picstart work with a USB to Serial Convertor? My laptop does not have a Serial port and I need to do some work in the field. Is there a USB Picstart? Which convertor worked for you?

USB to serial adapter are suppose to do the same job as a regular serial port. There's no USB PICSTART. so i figure it's really suppose to work as well.

I use an IOGear USB/Serial converter on an HP ze5300 laptop. It works with the PicStart Plus & MeLabs serial programmers.
