The simplest pic of all, the pic10f200, is not shown as a supported device for picbasic pro, the closest one that is shown is the pic10f202.

Before I buy some of this pieces (pic10f200) I'd like to know if they are compatible with picbasic pro, or do I have to stick with the pic10f202?

My programmer does support the pic10f200 so it's up to my compiler now.

anyone?

thanks in advance,
Muller.

Hi Muller,
If you have not bought them yet, why not just buy the supported chip?
The 10F200 has 1/2 the data memory, It is organized differently and the configs are placed in different places, 01FF vs 03FF.

Thanks for your reply Joe.

The reason I need the 200 over the 202 is that they are half the price as the 202, only $0.347 against $0.650 and since I need to buy many, its important. Has anyone programmed a 10f200 with picbasic pro before?

thanks!

In PBP, the 10F202 uses PBPPIC12.RAM, which requests 19 bytes of RAM for PBP system use. The 10F200 only has 16 total bytes of RAM available so it looks like it is a no go with PBP unless you want to do a lot of custom stuff.

The 10F202 is your best choice for PBP ... or learn ASM and use the 10F200. Bruce posted a wonderful ASM example here for the 10F200. http://www.picbasic.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=3261&highlight=10f200

Melanie posted a PBP example here for the 10F202.

Best of all reasons ! I didn't see those prices, I saw .41 vs .43 USD on Microchip's website in QTY 5000. http://www.microchip.com/ParamChartSearch/chart.aspx?branchID=1009&mid=10&lang=en
