Hi:

I am not sure if anyone can help me here. I am trying to see if anyone knows how a car oxygen sensor can be read with the ADC of a pic. Anyone has any idea how to do this and what type of oxygen seonsor can be used. There is so many models out there for different cars that any information will be great. A circuit would even be better.

Thank you

Sam

Hi, Sammy

What do you call an Oxygen sensor ???

- a "classical" lambdaprobe ? ( Make, model ??? )

- a "Wideband" lambdaprobe ? ( Make, Model ??? )

- a real Oxygen sensor like Figaro's : http://figaro.co.jp/en/make_html/item_2_sen_112280.html

without any model ... no chance to know what and how to measure !!!

BUT ... what you'll have to build is a simple voltmeter ... generally made with LM3914 chips ...

Hi Alain:

Thanx for your reply. It is the Wideband lambdaprobe that I am intrested in. I have worked with the Figaro's sensor and it works great. There is no need to heat the sensor. My problem is that with a lambda sensor, I am not sure how much circuitry is needed for the heating part of the sensor. Also I am not sure what make and model I can use. I have no idea what part number I am looking at. Any idea regarding the heating section would help as well.

Thank you again

Sam
