http://www.parallax.com/tabid/535/Default.aspx

Has a lot of good information. There are several examples of using IR sensors.

The code in the examples is in parallax's verson of basic.

Must've missed the title of this section of the forums AND the domain name too...
Not much assembly done here (although a few do quite a bit) and even less C spoken here.

Besides, without knowing the hardware, how can you write good software?

hi guys everybody knows that pic basic is the easiest programing language for pic, if you are newbie you should use pic basic pro.

Then if you want you can learn others.

And for your project;
you can use CNY70 contrast sensors instead of constructing IR&phototransistor circuits
To drive motors you can use L293D motor driver.
And pic16f84 or 16f628a

If you are still want to do it reply this post I can help you even I can write you a simple code.

instead of discussing about why he use c lang., we can give pbp codes.

Don't be so aggressive.

Thanks
