One could, but...

The project has been done over and over again in various places. A simple Google search will prove that.

One could post an example in PicBasic, but, one doesn't know what another one would use for a processor, or what one's hardware would consist of, or what one's capabilities are.

    Unhappy no findings in Google...

A simple Google search will prove that.
...maybe this was true a year ago...

Does anyone have an example to start with a PIC using a VS1002 (http://www.futurlec.com/Mini_MP3.shtml) mp3 player?

Default anyone out there can help, please?

Funnywise, I can find lots of posts talking about the use of VLSI chips but no example.

I've received my VS1002D module from FUTURLEC but... it is not as simple (at least for me) as they say

Does anyone use one of these chips and give me at least a good starting point?

Datasheet shows an application & schematic. Not micro specific.

Thanks circuitpro and I have all these docs (there are many of them especially on the VLSI's homepage) already.

I'm looking for a PIC specific example...

Maybe no one other in the whole universe tried this berfore

The following post has quite a few links with examples, connection, and code.
    http://www.picbasic.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=7733

    Googled it as follows:
site:http://www.picbasic.co.uk/forum/ VS1011
This link probably summarizes them all: http://www.opencircuits.com/Music_Player

    Hope it helps.
