    Default Interfacing pic and pendrive..

    Hello..

IS that possible to interface a pic and a pendrive without FTDI VDIP...?

    For example, 18F4550 and a kingston 1GB..

    Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you can't. The PIC only has a slave in it, and you need a host to interface to the usb memory stick.

Possible with PIC24, PIC32 or any other Micro with USB OTG feature, maybe possible with PIC18F4550 or other with your own routine (can't use the on board USB)... but really not something i would dare to try myself... life is so short.

    It's not a bug, it's a random feature.
There's no problem, only learning opportunities.
