    Default Automotive quality rotary encoder

Hi all, I am wanting to put a rotary encoder onto a car steering shaft (to control an electric power steering pump). I know I can use the guts from a mouse, but I would like to have something of high quality that can put up with the harsh automotive environment.

    Any suggestions?

    thanks

    It's not a bug, it's a random feature.
There's no problem, only learning opportunities.
