I just bought an electric forkhoist with a blown speed controller and was thinking about making my own, I think it's going to want to draw peak of 150A at 48V, was thinking about driving two IRFP2907 fets with an IR4427 FET driver from a PIC - anythings to look out for - anyone else built a high current PWM driver? I was concerned the high capacitance of the gate on the IRFP2907 wondering if the driver will be able to poke enough into it to drive it without frying it. It has a gate capacitance of 13000pF. But it handles around 200A with near 900A peak. - would i be best driving each with two drivers? I've fried a few fets in the past not giving them enough gate drive and would be good if I didn't do it again.

Cheers
