I guess a flip flop would not count as an application at uni.

    or would it?

You're in the right place.... take a look through the threads, you'll see hundreds of applications. Not sure why you would need anyone's help with this.

Read this – about 16 lines down should get you started

Then try googling a bit – the rest is up to you.

I think the purpose of this exercise is to expose you to the process of Searching, and Locating the necessary information.

Since this is an extremely large part of working with PIC's, you may want to actually try it.

unfortunately there's no best or top-10 applications... from the Led blink to medical apps to motor control to wind direction meter to GSM control to programmable PSU...frequency counter, DDS, pea pealer... possibility are endless.

    ICT at a uni and asking what's a flip-flop?

    WTF? Can't spell 'www.google.com'?

Normally I don't dog a nub like this, but jeeze, a subject like this, near the very core of every CPU and MCU out there (notice I said 'near', not 'at'). Who's paying for this 'schooling'?

I don't think a student in "that" way would care about the things being stated in that link.

A student that is already in learning mode would already be doing the things in that link. A student that gives it its meaning.

All others would not need any advise from anyone. They are in "quicker" mode.

Quiker mode or not, i'm not going to help someone who didn't do a little homework before.

Bring a snip of something, i'll help.

It's a common problem on ALL forums i'm member of. Fortunately, we are polite here.

How many code example can you find here?
How many code example can you find on google?

Some just need a kick-start? No problem, do some search, bring links if you want, but don't ask for a complete solution or free already-done stuff or ask for 'i need to find a PIC application'...

It's getting a little old. This tend to be worst at the end of the semesters... each year...
