sdata,sclk same port?

Hello

Must the data and clock from eeprom like 24c16 conected to the same
port on the pic device?

I have connect in my board the data and clock to diferent ports and
it not function everytime correctly, it this possible?

It should be ok.

Why don't you post your code here?

you may be having a change on pins somewhere and that may be causing the problem.

Since you say it works sometime, most likely you have an issue with your code if not with hardware.

If you use a demo board it could be a false contact

OR your i/o may have some multiplexed stuff on... let's says ADCs or Comparator.
