Default Programming software for PicAll Hardware

    Hi All,

I have just got back into PBP after a break and am trying to get set up again for programming.

I have a Picall v3.43 programmer board, but the picallw.com site that had the programming software seems to have dissapeared.

For those who don't know about it, the Picall board was made by KitsRus.com and K144 and sold by Dontronics (amongst others). It uses a LTP interface with an on-board PIC to do the time crucial bit wiggling. It can also do serial eeproms and Atmel ICs (although I never tried it..)

The software was great, but it seems to have dissapeared. Anyone got any recommendations for suitable programming software that can handle the Picall board and the new 12f chips ?

I had a look at winpic and it doesn't seem to support the programmer.

    Thanks,

    Bill.

    Hi Bill,
    Site still appears for me...

    http://www.picallw.com/

But the software is no longer updated and may not support newer devices.

    EDIT
Just checked version 1.6, and it does show support for the 12F devices.
    EndEDIT

    Hi Arch,

thanks for that - when I went looking for it last night the site was down, and I thought it was gone for good.

Had a quick look at v16 and it seems to be 12f675 and 12f629 - I was looking for 12f683 support.

I just sprung for a new programmer anyway... USB based Kit 150 from Dontronics.

    Bill.
