serial port control relay

hello thee ..i juxz wanna to ask some question about the serial programming. if there possible to contol the12VDC relay through serial port without using the microcontroller. if possible can some one help me with give the interfacing circuit between the serial port and the relay.

You can toggle the DTR signal on and off.
