    Sorry for the OT.

Can anyone recommend good magazines related to prototyping, microcontrollers, electronics & such?

I checked out a sample issue of Nuts & Volts, and it was pretty cool, but I was wondering if there are any better out there?

    thanks

If you want to go a little more professional than the Hobby Mags...

EDN... www.edn-europe.com (there's also an Asian version, Australian version, your part of the world version)...

    ESE... Embedded Systems Engineering... www.esemagazine.com

Both of the above (there are many others) are FREE... as long as you qualify for the readership... but you don't need to subscribe for the printed copy to look at articles on the websites.

If you are a basic Hobbyist or Student, those mags may be a little over your head (quite apart from the fact you wouldn't qualify for FREE subscription - I base that comment on the questions posted on this forum) as they assume the reader understands what they're reading...

For example... if you can't follow this... (Generating Sine Waves - topical for another recent thread on this forum)...

    http://www.edn.com/article/CA6321527...dustryid=44217

then it's not the kind of mag for you...

    Hi, Ralph

Their French Forum is really very " hot " ... seems there are only marketing zombies left there ...

IF there is the word "Problem" in your question ...
    certainly the answer is " RTFM " or " RTFDataSheet " !!!
