    Default Asynchronous counter mode on TMR1

    what is the use of Asynchronous counter mode on TMR1 ? any examble to explain when to use it?

    In asynchronous mode, TMR1 is able to be used as a counter INDEPENDANTLY from the PIC's internal phase clocks. See Datasheet for your chosen PIC.
