Question Can LM1458 Op-amp be replaced by LM1558?

Hello, I bought a LM1458 Op-amp after reading a detailed introduction article about this device, here's the link: LM1458 datasheet. It says that LM1558 is the alternative of LM1458. But it didnít give me their comparison about specifications. Iím not the expert at Op-amp..

The problem is after I got this device I found out that I got a LM1558 at home already, so can these two be used interchangeably?

    Thanks!

Try it. I haven't memorized the numerology for that device, but often a 1 digit difference refers to temperature range. For example, the LM358 is Industrial grade, the LM258 is Automotive grade, and the LM158 is Military grade. They all function the same otherwise.

    You will be fine.
the LM1458 has its specifications guaranteed over the temperature range from 0įC to +70įC instead of −55įC to +125įC for the LM1558

    Cheers
