    Default Need help with Path new install

    Im having a path problem mpasmwin cannot be found some place there was a sheet explaining this and I cannot find it

    Did you just recently install a newer version of MPLAB?

    Brand new laptop and brand new install of MPlab and PBP3

    Look in the directory where MPLAB is installed and goto the MPLABX directory, then look for mpasmwin.exe. If it is not found then look for mpasmx.exe. You need to make a copy of this file and rename it mpasmwin.exe and place it back in the MPLABX directory. That's all there is to it.

    Well that didn't work I also changed the bat file to point to MPLABx it was set to MPASM Suite which had the file MPASMWIN IN IT ALREADY

    is it possible that I never used Mpasmwin and used mpasm all along I remember always having trouble with mpasmwin

    Ok I think its solved

    Removed MplabX 5.10
    Ran PBP_MPASM_Connector.exe (from the PBP3 Directory)
    Pointed to C:/program files (x86) microchip mpasm suite (where mpasmwin was located)
    restarted mplab ide and all works (I think at this time)
