    Default First post - Introduction

    Hello everyone,

New here. Long time computer hobbyist. My first language back in undergrad school was Fortran. I even used punch cards! After punching the cards, we turned into an operator at a window and they were fed into NERDC, the Northeast (Florida) Regional Data Center which was located in Gainesville, FL and part of the Florida University System. If we were lucky, we received the printout the next day and had to debug each week's homework assignment before the next class. We had to plan ahead due to the long lag times.

    Welcome.

I was night operator; read the cards and gave the printouts back to students. Nothing more frustrating than dropping a box of cards.

I suppose the cards being unnumbered would most likely rank higher.

My Creality Ender 3 S1 Plus is a giant paperweight that can't even be used as a boat anchor, cause I'd be fined for polluting our waterways with electronic devices.

Not as dumb as yesterday, but stupider than tomorrow!
