Default Shutting down ports before sleep

    Hi Thank you for reading

I am wondering what the preferred way of shutting down external devices (display, RTC) etc before putting a PIC to sleep.

Have been experimenting with simple transistor and FET circuit but they are tending to stay half on …. with the exception of a relay has any one had any experience of this….

    Thank you for reading

    Andy

    Stand down….

I sorted it out…. I was getting a back feed from the display… putting a small diode in series sorted it.
