    Default old pic chips

i have some pic chips that i don't expect to ever use , rather than consign them as landfill i'm prepared to give them away at my cost.
they are all dip chips and comprise 3x16f84, 2x16f84a ,2x12c509 (otp) ,2x12f629 ,1x16f88, 1x16f688 .they may have been used or not ,none have been tested at all.
if you think you could use them pm with you details , must be someone living in australia as these chips have very little value an not worth much postage

Nice gesture there Richard. I think most of these (or substitutes)
should be available as free samples from Microchip.
I've personally never been turned down.

For 12C509/A wite a flashing LED and clock it with the internal RC clock,
Then power it with a bench supply, stand back a little,
and gradually increase the voltage while limiting the current.
I'm sure you would be suprised!

Hmm... I wonder if a 16F84 / 16C84 could be an obscure collector's item one day...

Lol, If it was 16C84, I might have grabbed that for a keepsake just in case

If you order samples as a hobbyist just be completely honest.
In comments I say I’m a hobbyist that shares code/design over the internet.
