    Default problem with serial com

    Hello all I'm French and I do a Central I did a program with a pic 18F4620 and 5 DS18B20
    scanning work well as display the transmission as long as the PICkit3 plugged if I unplugged the series connection sending anything.
    Have you ever encountered this problem and can you help me if needed

    Try turning MCLRE to OFF in the configuration.

    What version of PBP are you using? It makes a difference on how you do it.

    i put mclre off but it's the same thing, my version of PBP is 2.60
    f I unplugged PICkit3 and I reset the prog runs it displays me the correct values ​​on the displays, given series are erroneous if I reconnect the PICkit3 reset this and the serial data is ok

    My best guess would be a grounding issue. Evidently you are powering the PIC independent from the PC. When the PicKit is connected it changes the potential on the zero rail (ground).
