Default How to read IC program?

    Hi
I need some urgent help - I have a working IC and a faulty IC (both EPROMs) of the exact same type and I'm using a IC programmer to re-program the faulty IC with the code of the working unit. Now, the issue is there is also the MAC address present in the program that I have to edit else both ICs shall then make their parent device have the same MAC address which might create a conflict when the devices are made to go online the network. From the hex code (and there are hundreds of lines of it) of the IC I cannot make out the bits/code I need to change so as to separate the MAC addresses of the respective parent devices.

Can anyone help? Appreciate a quick response.

    TIA
    KT

Why insist on using 32 Bits when you're not even able to deal with the first 8 ones ??? ehhhhhh ...

IF there is the word "Problem" in your question ...
    certainly the answer is " RTFM " or " RTFDataSheet " !!!

I do have the program file (about 8 megs) but can't understand how to read it and what editor/software to use to locate the MAC address bits. Any pointers?
