Default Microcode studio not showing data, though it is receiving it

Hi, I have a bluetooth module running at 3.5 volts with 3.3v TTL output connected to MAX232 to rs232 usb to serial converter. When I send data to the module, it should appear on the screen of the serial communicator. But instead what is happening is that the data is shown received at the Bytes Rx (at the bottom of the screen) as numbers increment there but it does not show on the screen.

Can someone please help me know what am I doing wrong? My whole circuit is running at 3.5 volts including MAX232. Thanks

As a start, it would be helpful to know which model of max232 (check the datasheet for operating voltage).

Size: 84.9 KBI tried the same at 5v now. Same result. The datasheet page is attached which says default baud is 9600. But the microcode window shows nothing but 'Bytes RX' increase by 5 everytime I send a '1'. Should it not increase by 8? Does that mean the datasheet says the wrong default baud?

Does the MAX232 invert the signal? Does the default expect it to be inverted?

Tina, First you need to check your Microcode >> Usb >> RS-232 >> Max-232. With everything connected except the Blue tooth module, short the RX/TX lines comming from the TTL level side of the Max-232. Now type something on your Microcode studio terminal application and you should see (if everything is wired correctly) the letters or numerals you are typing. If not, check each connection in the string. Once you have echo's of the typed characters then replace the short at the TTL side of the Max-232 with the connections to your Blue tooth module. Mine works GREAT.....
