    Default PIC16XXX at 1.3GHz?

If you dreamed of a GHz speed PIC® controller, stop dreaming. It comes true!

    The core is FPGA.
Its been done before but unsuccessful due to Microchip licensing issues.

The core is the software written in Verilog or VHDL which configures the gates (hardware) of an FPGA chip.
Then the FPGA can be programmed as a PIC.

Top speed I found is a very fast 320MHz on an ASIC FPGA!

    I inquired as to pricing.
You'd need deep pockets to purchase a project license.
