Default Communication help for DCC (Digital Command Control)

I am working on some new ideas for my model railroad and would like some help with DCC communication. I have the documentation that tells you how the communication works. However, it should be done via interrupts and thats where I need help. I attached the document that explains how DCC works. The chip of choice is the 18F2620. I know this chip should work as it is used in lightorama.com controllers ( DMX communications ).S-92-2004-07.pdf
