Smile Using Gsm module in Data Mode

    Hello All

i would be interested in hearing from anyone who has used a gsm module like Wavecom for Data Transfer.
I have successfully being able to send/receive SMS text from my remote data logger and i am just planning to add remote data download to it.
what i am really looking for is what process i need to go through not actually the code or program. (A Link would do )
As i have heard that might have to get data service enabled by my service provider etc.

    All The Best
    Isaac

    Hi Isaac

I`ve used the Tellit GM864 sucessfully in data mode for socket to socket communications and also http posting of data to a webserver which is probably the less complicated way to send data. I don`t know the Wavecom, but if you can get the Tellit module I could help on that.

    Cheers Pete

    Hi Isaac

Its the GM864-GPS which is the same as the basic GM864 but with built in GPS. I buy these direct but they are obtable from Sparkfun I think along with a dev board to mount it on.
