CDC - Connect to any PC USB Slot

Hello All -
I am using USB chip with CDC driver. I noticed that once you connect the chip to a
PC USB slot and load the driver (.inf), you must always use that same USB slot on the
PC for the connection to work. If I connect to a different slot on the PC, I get the
yellow exclamation point in device manager.

Is there a way to make the CDC driver work with any USB slot? Or is this the nature
of the virtual comm port?

O.K. I see the workable solution. You have to load the driver (.inf) for each USB port that
you plug into. Then you can plug into any of those USB ports as long as the PC app can
handle the changing com port number.
