    Default Picbasic pro on windows7

    Hi, i have installed picbasic pro ver 2.5 on windows 7 but when i want to compile my bas files there is an error that says "source file is read only", what is the problem and what should i do? but when i install this software on windows xp, i don't have any problem.

    You sound close, you might try running the .exe as an administrator.

    thanks for your guide but i have another problem, my CPU and my windows is 64 bit. i should use windows xp mode in windows 7.

    No need to use XP mode. You may have to tell the system that you are administrator once but there are not any problems with win7 64.

    Do you get the read only error with new projects or old ones?

    You can do one of two things:

    Go into the PBP file and find PBP.EXE and PBPL.EXE

    Right click on them. Choose RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR

    In some cases, you might have to try the TROUBLESHOOT COMPATIBILITY ISSUES in the same pull-down window.
