Red face Power multiple electronics from 1 power source

    Good day

I don't know much about electronics.

Will it be possible to power eg. 5 x 12v 500mA electronic devices from 1 power supply (where the devices are +-10 meters apart) and if so must the power supply be larger than 12v and do I need some type of regulator?

If you want to power multiple devices in parallel (which is most likely) then the supply voltage must match the device voltage and the supply current must be at least the total required by all devices. 5 devices at 12V 500mA will require a supply capable of 12V 2500mA (2.5A).
