Default Help for someone just starting

I would like to program a 16F84 to be a tachometer, using a four digit LED for a display. Has anyone already done this?

    Thanks Very Much, Ed

PICBASIC has a feature to count the number of pulses on a pin in a specified time, so it shouldn't be too hard at all.

    Best regards,
