Default Help me identify a 26awg wire.

    Hello Guys,

I have this 26awg wire I pulled from a Traxxas' radio controlled truck:

I want to buy something similar, all black with the gray lines, same 26awg gauge too.

Any ideas where can I get it? And, how is it called?

    Thanks and Happy Holidays!

    Daniel.

26 gauge in black is easy!
It's that gray tracer that's going to make it tough.

I'm sure you can special order it somewhere, but you'll probably have to buy a mile (or 10) of it...

Does your application really require it?

Well, no, it doesn't requiere it...

I guess only black and 26awg gauge is enough...

    Thanks!

    Hi Daniel,
That wire looks like the speaker wire you get when you buy cheap Car speakers.

Yes, that's right, or the cheap wall chargers, that's what I need...

My problem is that I'm not a US native, so sometimes I don't know how to find things because I don't know the name for it...

That's why I ask for help on this kind of things... I post a picture and you guys can tell me the name, so I can find it... I'm not lazy!!!

    Thanks!

    Daniel.

    Smile “zip cord”

    Hi Daniel,
The well used slang for 2 wires in parallel like that is “zip cord” and probably “hook up wire” would rule out other types of wire.
It must be difficult to search for things in a second language. We understand and are glad to try and help.

Searched "hook up wire" on eBay and got a lot of good results!!!

I think I will be able to buy something now... Thank you very much!!!
