    Default 1 Pin 7-Segment Display

I came across an interesting 1-Pin 74HC595 Shfit Register Interface recently. It's basically a new twist on an old method but being able to drive one or more serial-to-parallel latch ICs or driver ICs with a single pin opens up some interesting possibilities.

Please check out the method theory and details here; Roman Black's "Shift1 System for 1-wire Shift Registers"

So how about a one pin 7-segment clock display? You can only light 47 of the 48 segments because we have to throw away the last bit stream bit but still interesting, yes, no?

    Regards, Mike
