Default newbie again : settings things like WDT and so on

    Hi all

I haven't been on this forum in ages (4 years now) I had to leave my pic ventures in favour of other business ventures and had no time for my pic hobby.

I have now started 'peek'-ing and 'poke'-ing around again.

Could somebody please explain how to enable things like WDT , brown out detection and MCLR all in one line ?

I seem to remember doing it in one line years ago.

    Kind regards

    Dennis

Different ways using different softwares. I don't know which one are you using but I use MPLAB IDE with Picbasic Pro.
In case you are using the same you can simply click on configure > configuration bits and select your desired settings. Rest will be taken care by the software itself.

    Hi there

Thanks for your answer financecatalyst... I am using MPLAB IDE with Picbasic Pro as well.

Thanks for the answer I did see that too.
Can it not be done in the program too ?
If so , which one overrides the other ?

The reason why I am asking is that when I program my 18f4520 it always comes out blank...
When I use the PICkit 2 programmer software it and load the .hex file all works well. Could you or anyone else please shed some light here

    Kind regards
    Dennis
