    Default PIcbasic pro patch 2.5B, still no longs..

    I've applied patch 2.5b, but still don't have the long variable, is there something else which I should do ?

    Hi Chris,

    If you're using the MCS editor, click on View, then Compiler And Program Options, then
    click the Compiler tab, and place a tick next to Use PBPL.

    This will instruct the editor IDE to use PBPL.EXE, which is required for any long type
    variables. Of course, you'll also need to select an 18F series controller in the PIC selection
    drop-down menu since longs are only supported for 18F core types with PBP.

    Still no DLL for LONG comfortable use in MPLAB nor ...

    But what has the MeLabs team done since 2.50 Release ???

    I'm able to compile picbasic pro code containing longs without errors in MPLAB.

    In the MPLAB available compilers list ... simply where it should be !!!

    NOT to have to change location at each time you swap from PBPW to PBPL ...
