    Hi,

Your chip is an Atmel microcontroller using the 8051 Architecture.

    Where to get the datasheet:

    8051 Architecture - Devices
    http://www.atmel.com/dyn/products/de...?family_id=604

If not listed in the above page, then try here:

    http://www.atmel.com/dyn/products/de...20Architecture
(Mature - Devices / not for use in new designs)

    8051 Microcontroller Instruction Set
    http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resources/p...ts/doc0509.pdf

This forum is about PicBasic. (Microchip PIC microcontrollers).

    Best regards,

Wink Wrong address ... sorry !!!

    Hi,

    That means ...

    1) this forum is NOT speaking Atmel Assembler ...
    2) this Forum only deals with MICROCHIP processors
    3) this forum even HARDLY understands µChip assembler.

so ... there is very little chance for you to get usable "8051" Help Here ...

Why insist on using 32 Bits when you're not even able to deal with the first 8 ones ??? ehhhhhh ...
    ************************************************** ***********************
IF there is the word "Problem" in your question ...
    certainly the answer is " RTFM " or " RTFDataSheet " !!!

One is good - the other is better. You figure out which one is which.

    Hi,

Your microcontroller is a 8051-compatible chip made by Atmel.
The original 8051 chip was developed by Intel in 1980.

The Microchip PIC and the Atmel AVR are completely different chips.

PIC16f877 have 40 pins and 8k code memory,
and PIC18f452 also has 40 pins and 32K code memory

these two PICs you can use for lots of projects.
