    Default Display modules array

    Hi all,
I am new to microcontrollers. PIC basic seems cool.
My aim is to build the following:
An Array of 4 digits display modules connected thru USB to the PC. The software application on the PC should set the ID/Address for each module in the array. The PC should be able to send data to each module and should be able to receive any malfunction on any module.
Each display module should have 4 function buttons so to make the PC do some tasks.
Each Module has incorporated an LCD (2 lines , 40 alphanumerics) (same function here)
    Is this possible with PICbasic?
Now let's get some big ideas here!

    Welcome to the forum.

One post in an appropriate section is more than enough to get attention.

Yes, what you want is quite possible with PBP and a suitable PIC.

    Default Training

    Great,
If this is feasible, is there then a course, training or reference to help do that?
    Please advise!

    Regards

You could start by reading up on microcontrollers in general - and PICs in particular. Here are some possibilities:
    http://www.rentron.com/books.htm

    Some free ones here:

And most importantly, visit the PIC manufacturer's website to download datasheets, app notes, etc.:
