Smile PIC16F684 equivalent with 3 ports???

    Hi there,

is there an equivalent to PIC16F684 but with 6 more I/O ports?

    I will still need:
    - PWM
    - I2C
    - 256 bytes EEPROM
    - Internal 8MHz oscillator
    - Interrupt on change on a port
    - Weak pullups configurable by software

    Maybe PIC16f685 ???

i need to debug my PIC16F684 and I have to use an LCD while using all porta and portC pins as I/O for my design...

PIC16F882 - or PIC16F883/6 for larger code space. All have 3 full 8-bit ports plus UART, CCP/HPWM and MSSP.

    Smile PIC16F684 + 6 digital I/O pins = ?

Would a 16F690 be a good choice? I would have chosen 685 but my supplier don't seel it.
    I don't need USART.

I only need 6 more pins for my PIC16F684...

Yes, the 16F690 would work if it has the features you need. I have used thousands of 16F690's in a product and am very satisfied with them.

If you need a couple of 16F690's (or 16F886's) in SOIC package, let me know and I can give them to you.
