    Default New PBP 2.50?

    Darrel, Where are getting PBP 2.50 from? I just looked at the MELABS web site and the latest revision is 2.47... If there up to 2.50 then they skipped a few revs.....

    Well, I get my upgrades from Rentron.com
    But that's because I bought PBP there in the first place.

    And you're right. They did skip a couple numbers.
    But the changes are significant enough to have skipped a few more and still be valid.

    It usually takes awhile before the version history is updated on their site after an update, but it's shipping.

    Darrel Taylor , I would have thought MELABS would have updated there website with the news before or just after shipping the newer version. I purchased all of my copys and updates since 2.36 from MICROMART, one of the the distributor's they point to from there website. I hope they will be updating there site soon with the upgrade information as I have 5 registered copys of it to be upgraded..... Thanks for the heads up Darrel.

    Dave,

    Distributors normally have to wait until MeLabs offically announce the new updates.
    To be fair to all distributors, MeLabs waits until they all have the latest version on hand.

    We're shipping the latest version, and latest updates, but can't officially announce it until
    MeLabs does.

    If you order the update, just ask the distributor to see if it's 2.50 before ordering. Now that
    the cat's out-of-the-bag so to speak...;o}

    P.S. Download the latest version of DT_INTS-18 too..;o}

    Nice work again Darrel.

    Hi, Bruce

    Are you [really] SURE about that ???

    Here, on the old continent ... I was sent MANY TIMES the wrong Update from the locals official distributors ...

    And I generally wait two or three month before ordering ...

    I won't give names ... I don't want my submission here to be cancelled !!!

    No,no .... I did not tell it !!! You really sure I did ??? no,no , I tell you it's an error !!!

    Alain

    PS: I had once an answer from Melabs saying shortly " Distributors do what they want ..."
    ************************************************** ***********************
    Why insist on using 32 Bits when you're not even able to deal with the first 8 ones ??? ehhhhhh ...
    ************************************************** ***********************
    IF there is the word "Problem" in your question ...
    certainly the answer is " RTFM " or " RTFDataSheet " !!!

    Hi Alain,

    OK. Maybe that should read MeLabs "tries" to wait until all distributors have stock....;o}

    I just ordered the latest update from MeLabs 2 weeks ago -2.47.
    Not too happy if they knew there was a 2.50 out there already and didnt let me know when ordering - may have to get on to them about that one!!

    Not yet.

    But the thing that matters the most is 32-bit Signed math for 18F's

    The rest, is how most of the other statments use 32-bits as well.

    The official macro count...
    Code:
    2.47	3,154
    2.50L	5,366
    Jeff Schmoyer really had a lot of work to do for this update.

    Hi Paul,

    You got the stable version 2.47 and now you get also the new version 2.50!
    What a lucky man! Happy coding!

    Well got the 2.50 update from MeLabs but at first glance the manual looks the same as the one for 2.47. How do I know what the differencies are with this update?

    I've got a whole stack of manuals, and they all look alike. I really need to take a Sharpie and write the version number on the covers.

    Maybe someday Jeff will be able to afford the ink to print labels on the manuals. Maybe someday they'll add an index.

    Small, insignificant, inconveniences for an otherwise fantastic product.

    Been waiting for quite some time to get an upgrade (2.44); now's a good time to get it (want to see that 32 bit thingy).

    Rentron.com here I go.

    Sweet!
    I actually requested 32-bit integer math a few months back.
    I can't wait!
