Need Help... 16f630 Schmitt Trigger

Hello

I want to build frequency counter with pic16f630:
The input is RA2,using as Schmitt Trigger input,so how can I do that without using TMR0 or TMR1.
I build one using TMR0 that RA2 is clock input for TMR0,but it was slow.

How I can use this circuit to count analog signals,is that whith Schmitt Trigger input?
And what the best oscillator clock is ?

TMR0 and it's prescaler are the fastest things on a PIC, reading up to 50Mhz.

If that was too slow, I'm affraid you're out of luck.
