u2 programmer suddenly stopped working?

    Default u2 programmer suddenly stopped working?

    My melabs u2 programmer has worked fine with pbp3 for years, but suddenly the new chips it programs do not work. Previously programmed chips work fine in my test socket, and the u2 programmer software indicates that it has programmed the chip without errors, but the chips do not function. I did run the programing software"set options to defaults" but that did not help. Any suggestions?

    If you have any other programmer, say Pickit 2 or 3, or ICD then you may check that the chips are OK and do get programmed with different programmer.

    Make sure you have the newest U2 software. Just because you have the latest PBP3 doesn't mean the U2 Programmer automatically knows what to do with newer chips. Here is ME Labs' link for the U2 software:
